Pecorino & Sage Biscuits

My neighbor gave me a beautiful sage plant yesterday. She assured me she wasn't going to use it and she knows "I-talians" do. I took it in exchange for some of our tomatos.

I decided to use some of the sage today and came up with Pecorino & Sage Biscuits. I started with my Buttermilk Biscuit Recipe and added about 1/2 Cup grated Pecorino Romano cheese and a couple Tablespoons fresh sage.

In case you were curious, tonights tomato dish was angel hair with tomato, basil & garlic.

The biscuits look delicious! This is probably a stupid question but whats on top, is that some of the grated pecorino? It almost looks like Sea salt in the pix. Anyway, that's my kind of meal hmmmm hmmmmm

Both pasta and biscuits look great! So what does a sage plant look like? I'm Italian and have no clue?

Before baking I brushed them with a little milk and sprinkled the tops with kosher salt.

Mom-
I added a photo of the sage plant she gave me. Its leaves are much bigger than most I've seen.

Thanks for the picture..at first i felt stupid for havingmissd the photo. Does fresh sage taste like the dry spice rack variety?

Yeah, I added the photo later. I guess it does. It's not one of Craig's favorites - he says it smells like pine trees.
